Starlight Stories: the Unknown Story and the Sleeping Serpent

Mofian Storytellers often begin an evening of Starlight Stories, reminding his or her audience that their stories are sacred and to be trusted, unlike the stories of their enemies:
Mofia have two Important story cycles; those that are revealed to the Granda on the peak of the mountain, and those whispered in the forests of luft, brought to our island by the Nehar-Khans. Stories that are not Mountain or Forest Tales are not considered sacred to our Tribe, such as the myths of the Therasians to the West or the Niads to the East. They are the “Civilized ones”, corrupters of the sacred tales to suit their own ends.
Before time began and after the world’s end, all Mofia meet in the hut of the Great Granda and listen to the first story, that is the mother of all the sacred tales of our tribe. This is the only story not known to the Elders or the Shaman, not even the Nehar-Khan know the Great tale told in the hut of the great Granda, but in truth, we all know the story, for it is the essence of our being, and in truth, we are there right now, sitting at the feet of the Great Granda, just as you all are sitting here with me right now.
At the end of the evening (When everyone has fallen asleep), the storyteller would close with a mythical reference to either the sleeping head of Jib or the Cosmic Serpent:
It is said that the Great Granda took the form of a serpent and as he slept, all Mofia crept into his mouth, and all slept. In truth, we are all sleeping.
