Golden Buddha Mandala Meditation

January 31, 2008 at 11:47 pm by mahud

The dynamic mandalas of the Golden Buddha operate in a manner similar to that of reflections in a mirror, or looking-glass, whereby we can access a reflection of our own proper, enlightened essence. By giving form and perceptual utterance to your self-integration of the wholly sacred and most perfectly illuminated Buddha essence, receive his image, with your eyes open, or your eyes closed. Gaze upon him, beholding living, flowing, shimmering gold.

    Whoa!
You should add NSFW on that video, Mahud.
I watched for maybe 5 mins and was so disconnected from my workspace.

I take my practise as far away from a computer as I can get…but that mandala will live in my brain, thanks!

    Wow, Terri, really?

It didn’t really have much of an effect on me. Although I did stare at it for 10 mins with my eyes slightly unfocused.

I’m not sure whether having a mandala living in your brain is a bad thing or a good thing. Hope you are ok?

    Mandala-in-brain?
At this stage it’s a great thing.
I can sit down, light candles and incense and close my eyes -no setting-up exercises!
Yup, I’m fine fat and feisty thanks.
I’m celebrating Lughnasadh (on Monday, just to annoy my coreligionists) but I hope you’ll have a happy Imbolc.
    May Brigid guard your hearth.
    Love,
    Terri in Joburg
